Polyclinic Maletić is a family-run medical institution founded in 1998, bringing together aesthetic surgery, laser medicine, and hair restoration at two locations in Croatia. We have worked by the same principle from the start: the decision about a procedure is made only after a medical examination and an individual assessment.

How we work
First the examination, then the talk about surgery
Every meeting with a patient begins with an examination, not with an agreement about a procedure. During the examination we assess the findings, establish whether a procedure is indicated, and weigh the expected effect, the limitations, and the possible risks of each method. Only after that do we talk about the course of the procedure, the recovery, and the price.
An aesthetic procedure is a medical procedure, with indications, limitations, and possible complications, so the decision about it rests on the medical history, the examination, and the clinical findings. We explain to the patient what the procedure can achieve — and also where its limits are.
Honesty first
When a procedure is not needed
Some patients leave the examination without a recommendation for surgery. The reasons vary: the change is within the range of a normal finding, the expectation cannot be met by the procedure, the condition can be resolved with a simpler treatment, or the current state of health does not allow an operation. In those cases we explain why the procedure is not recommended and suggest monitoring the findings, a simpler treatment, or a new assessment once the conditions for surgery are met.
The same goes for the choice of method. If we judge that a simpler procedure suits you better than the one you came for, we will explain that option. Because three fields are brought together in the clinic, your findings can be considered from the perspective of different methods and specialties.

Who we are
The family behind the clinic
The clinic was founded in Daruvar in 1998 by mr. sc. Duško Maletić, dr. med., a specialist in surgery and urology, and Ines Maletić, a specialist in anesthesiology, reanimatology, and intensive care. About a decade later they were joined by their daughter, dr. sc. Ana Maletić, a specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, who has led the clinic since 2017.
The fields are divided by specialty. Mr. sc. Duško Maletić, dr. med., performs aesthetic surgery of the face, body, and genitals, Ines Maletić leads the laser treatments and is responsible for the anesthetic safety of every procedure, and dr. sc. Ana Maletić leads the Hair Center and aesthetic medicine. More complex procedures, especially when several are performed on the same patient at once, they do together.
Within a family institution, knowledge is passed on through everyday work side by side, and in complex and combined procedures the physicians can exchange assessments directly and reach a decision together.

Aesthetic Surgery and Medicine
Surgical procedures of the face, neck, breasts, body, and intimate area, along with non-invasive treatments such as dermal fillers and botulinum toxin.
Laser Center
Laser skin treatments and laser surgery, including varicose vein surgery, pilonidal sinus surgery, and laser treatment for excessive sweating.

Scalp diagnostics, every method of hair loss treatment, and transplantation of hair, eyebrows, beard, and moustache.
Where we work
The space where the work is done
Since 2026 we have worked in new premises at both locations, in Zagreb at Medveščak 34 and in Daruvar at Ulica Josipa Knytla 1. Together they cover more than a thousand square meters and hold four operating rooms, several consultation offices, and postoperative recovery rooms.
The premises and their technical conditions are an important part of performing surgery safely. Operating rooms with controlled ventilation, separate consultation offices, and recovery rooms make it possible to prepare, perform, and monitor each procedure in an organized way.

International authority
Knowledge we teach to others
Since 2008, Polyclinic Maletić has been an education center for laser procedures within the Fotona Laser & Health Academy. Physicians from other countries take part in training at both locations, in laser lipolysis and liposuction, laser treatment for excessive sweating, laser facial rejuvenation, laser varicose vein surgery, and laser skin tightening of the lower face and neck. The clinic's physicians also lecture at professional meetings in other countries.
The new Daruvar premises include a lecture hall with a live feed from the operating room, so trainees follow the procedure in real time, on a clinical case.
Mr. sc. Duško Maletić, dr. med., developed a method of laser-assisted double chin liposuction with skin tightening of the lower third of the face and neck, and presented it in 2012 at the International Congress of Aesthetic Medicine in Paris. The clinic has performed hair transplants since 1996, and in 2025 dr. sc. Ana Maletić presented her own follicle implantation technique at the world congress of hair transplantation.

The people on the team
The clinic brings together specialists in surgery, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, anesthesiology, and traumatology, along with a team of nurses who stay with the patient before the procedure, during it, and through the recovery.
Each procedure is performed by a specialist physician in the field it belongs to. Follow-up examinations, dressing changes, and answers to questions after the procedure are part of the continuous care provided by the same medical team.

What we have published
Between 2001 and 2014 we published six medical books on aesthetic surgery, laser methods, and hair transplantation, among them the Atlas of Aesthetic Operations from 2009 and Hair Transplantation Using the FUE Method from 2013. The last, expanded edition from 2014 has been translated into English and Italian.
Dr. sc. Ana Maletić is the author and co-author of scientific papers indexed in the CC and SCIE databases, and in March 2026 she defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, on the connection between hair transplantation and biopsychosocial factors of health.

Where are you located, and do you work in both cities?
The clinic works at two locations: in Zagreb at Medveščak 34 and in Daruvar at Ulica Josipa Knytla 1. Since 2026, both locations have been in new premises, with operating rooms, consultation offices, and postoperative recovery rooms. Most procedures are performed in both cities, and if one location is better suited for your procedure, we will tell you so when you book your appointment.
Do I need a referral for an examination?
No, a referral is not needed. The clinic works as a private medical institution, so you book your appointment directly, by phone or through the form on the Contact page.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes, the first consultation is free and does not commit you to a procedure. During the examination we assess whether a procedure is indicated, which method is appropriate, and what it can realistically achieve. Only then do we explain the course of the proposed procedure, the recovery, and the price.
Who will examine me?
You are examined by a specialist physician in the field your visit relates to. Surgical procedures of the face and body are performed by mr. sc. Duško Maletić, dr. med., laser surgery by Mario Bartol, laser treatments by Ines Maletić, and the Hair Center is led by dr. sc. Ana Maletić.
Do you also perform procedures that are not aesthetic?
Yes. Alongside aesthetic surgery and aesthetic medicine, we perform general surgery procedures, among them laser varicose vein surgery, pilonidal sinus surgery, hernia surgery, and carpal tunnel surgery. In the new Daruvar premises, we are extending our work into other fields of medicine as well.
