Publications

Between 2001 and 2014 we published six medical books on aesthetic surgery, laser methods, and hair transplantation. They grew out of clinical work and procedures performed at the clinic.

Evidence, not promises

Why we write books

Publishing a medical book means setting out and justifying your own way of working, openly. What is written and signed stays permanently available to readers and to the profession, which is why a book sets a high standard of professional accountability. Writing has therefore been part of the clinic's work from its beginnings.

All the books are based on procedures performed at the clinic, with photographs of our patients and descriptions of the course of treatment and recovery recorded during our own clinical practice.

Congresses and papers

Scientific work and lectures

Alongside publishing books, we regularly present papers based on our own practice at international congresses of aesthetic surgery and hair transplantation.

Dr. sc. Ana Maletić is the author and co-author of scientific papers indexed in the CC and SCIE databases, and in March 2026 she defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, on the connection between hair transplantation and biopsychosocial factors of health. Dr. sc. Duško Maletić has lectured since 2008 as an Expert Clinical Lecturer within the Fotona Laser & Health Academy and leads training seminars for physicians from other countries several times a year.

The first step

The first step

A book can answer many questions, but it cannot replace a medical examination. Whether a procedure is needed and appropriate in your case is decided on the basis of your medical history and clinical findings, not only on the general information in a book.

The consultation is free and does not commit you to anything. You book an appointment for Zagreb or Daruvar through the contact page, and you can read more about the physicians on the Our Team page.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Can I get one of the books?

You can. Contact us through the form on the Contact page and tell us which book you are interested in, and we will let you know whether it is available and how you can obtain it. Some editions also exist in electronic form.

Who are the books written for?

Different readers, depending on the title. The Atlas estetskih operacija was written for physicians and presents surgical techniques through drawings. The other editions are written so that a patient who is only starting to think about a procedure can understand them, with explanations of medical terms, the course of the procedure, and the recovery.

Is the information in the older books still accurate?

The basic principles of surgery and the descriptions of procedures largely hold true today, but technology and protocols have changed since 2001, especially in laser medicine and hair transplantation. The books are therefore a record of the time in which they were written, not a substitute for an examination and a conversation with a physician.

Do you also publish scientific papers?

Yes. Dr. sc. Ana Maletić is the author and co-author of papers indexed in the CC and SCIE databases, and in March 2026 she defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine. The clinic's physicians also present regularly at international congresses.
