Terms of data protection

Your privacy and the security of your data are of the utmost importance to us, so we wish to share with you the rules we have implemented in our operations. We will not sell your personal data or disclose it in any other way to any unauthorized third party, for any purpose, including for the promotional activities of a third party, except for the purpose of carrying out diagnostic procedures and for the needs of surgical procedures or supplementary medical treatments at other healthcare institutions that are connected with the contracted treatments.

We particularly emphasize that a physician is obliged to keep everything they learn about a patient's state of health confidential, as a medical secret. Medical secrecy covers all information a physician learns about a patient and the patient's personal, family, and social circumstances in the course of practicing their profession.

The physician is obliged to keep accurate, thorough, and dated medical records in accordance with the regulations on healthcare records, capable of providing sufficient information about the patient's state of health and treatment at any time. The physician is obliged to present these records, upon request, to the ministry responsible for health, to state administration bodies in accordance with special regulations, to the Croatian Medical Chamber, or to the judicial authorities.

The physician or the responsible person of a healthcare institution, company, or other legal entity performing healthcare activities is obliged to secure records kept on electronic media against alteration, premature destruction, or unauthorized use. Upon request, the physician is obliged to make available to the patient all medical records relating to the diagnosis and treatment of their illness. The medical records consist of the patient chart with status, the medical history, and photographs.
